Discussions

Living in Mumbai, Mumbaikars can be the angry observers of the city’s shortcomings. Or they can participate in its governance to resolve the issues concerning them. To facilitate this, Praja presents the citizens with this tool to share their concerns and issues with their elected representative. Let your voice be heard. Make a difference in your locality. Start your contribution by entering any of the six parliamentary constituencies.

Welcome to PRAJA Dialogue! The discussion forums are an avenue where you can discuss local, state-level and national issues which are of concern to you. To start, you need to:

  • Register with Praja Dialogue.
  • Add a new topic or post comments on existing discussion threads.
  • Show your support for an issue by Joining a topic that is being discussed on the forums. You can Join an issue only once.
  • You can sort topics on the discussion forums date-wise, category-wise and popularity-wise.
Experts, Elected Representatives and NGOs may also participate in discussions around some topics. This will make the conversations lively and will help us to think through the issue more carefully.

PRAJA sends fortnightly reports of the discussions on the forums to elected representatives. You can ask elected to representatives to Join PRAJA Dialogue by clicking here .

Text for Ground Rules for Participation in Discussion Forums:

In order to help people to participate effectively in discussion forums, we have laid down three basic ground rules:
  1. Abusive remarks will be deleted by the moderator. Registered members can report abuse by clicking on the button that appears on each comment.
  2. Attack the issue, not the person.
  3. Stick to the topic/issue which is being discussed.
