This
Building Proposals Department is headed by the Chief Engineer (Development
Plan) who is assisted by the Deputy Chief Engineer (Building Proposals)
and Executive Engineers (Building Proposals) for City, Western Suburbs
and Eastern suburbs.

Repairs
that do not require official permission (Repairs without change
in dimensions of structure do not require permissions)
- Providing
guniting to the structural members or wall
- Plastering,
painting, pointing
- Changing
floor tiles
- Repairing
W. C. bath or wasting places
- Repairing
or replacing drainage pipes, taps, manholes and other fittings
- Repairing
or replacing sanitary water plumbing or electrical fittings
- Replacing
of roof with the same material, but shall not include -
- Change
in horizontal and vertical existing dimensions of the structure.

Replacement or removal of any structural members or load bearing
walls.

Lowing of plinth, foundation or floors.

Addition or extension of mezzanine floor or loft.

Flattening or roof or repairing roof with different material.
